I am fairly certain I was able to edit a post on this board before, however now I do not see an "edit" button. If someone can help me figure out how to do that let me know. THX
EDIT: Odd, it appears I can edit my "reply" but not my original post. It was a lot of work to create the original post so I will not be editing or creating this again.

You can ask a mod to make any changes you want; we're like the Maytag repairmen and don't have anything else to do.
(You can also c/p your original post into a reply, make changes, and then just ask a mod to delete the original, or whatever works...)

Not sure "copy and paste" will work because I used "tables" when I created the post for a nice clean look, but it can only be updated by an edit it appears. I will just post the data the old way, creating a new post each time as I did on the yahoo boards if I have the time and after new data comes out. Not going to ask for help updating/editing a post. It is a hassle in my mind. Thanks for the offer and info though.

abc, let's try this. I have disabled the "disable editing" mechanism, so you (and everyone else) can edit older posts.
I'm doing this expecting the membership to use this feature "in good faith", i.e., to never go back and edit an old post as an attempt to revise history. I'm giving the community the benefit of the doubt. If it comes to my attention that this ability is ever being abused, I'll lock it down to having a time limit again.
Hope that helps. -BD

About 150M shares added from Q1, 2009 to now, that's absurd, and the measly Buy Back does almost nothing and once again is a Waste of Money.
Awesome job abc.... , nice additions, Thank you

Great data.
Since they still have 1.7 billion dollars left, if they buy back at average of $78 a share, they can reduce another 21 million share. Since I used round numbers, the shares buy back may not be exact. Looks like we'll have about 800 million shares as float.

Adelson stated in the CC that non-core assets could be as high as $14B and is waiting for gov't approvals.
I wonder if this is another "Dog and Pony Show" since the co-op's were to be sold 3 years ago?
Also at a Dividend of $2/year with 820,000M shares it appears LVS is paying out about All the yearly profits as Dividends.

Since I used round numbers, the shares buy back may not be exact. Looks like we'll have about 800 million shares as float. And if they reduce the outstanding shares by 20 million shares, 5 times, they would reduce the share count by 100 million shares in total. Sure a couple quarters of share buybacks will not make a big dent, but over many years it will make a noticeable difference. This seems like a good long term plan to me. One other benefit, as LVS keeps doing better and better the "Demand" for the stock goes up, but at the same time the "Supply" of shares is going down.

ABC, although it's belated, I just wanted to send my thanks to you, also, for organizing this data! Wonderful work!
Just a thought: since it seems to be one of the "topics of the day" thanks to MBS subpar results, would it be feasible to do a quarterly +/(-) on actuals vs normalized results? I suspect we'd see different results at MBS vs Macau ops. Might be reassuring to see, or else an eye-opener . . .
Cheers,
LPL

Cheers, LPL It would be nice to see the actual vs normalized EPS etc. I can't remember how far back LVS has been doing that. Maybe for 1 year so it would be hard to see on a short time frame, unless someone has data back further. Breaking out MBS and Macau separately again might be difficult, I am not sure if EPS is broke out that way. I haven't looked at this in depth yet or really followed that so if anyone has the data or can tell me how easy it is to find let me know. I certainly could post something quickly if I have the data (someone could send to me). This is a good idea to look into. Thanks

abc, if you and your wife are in Vegas the same time my wife and I am, dinner and drinks are on me. I appreciate all the information that you provided over the years that helped keep me in LVS. Bought in on 3/20/09@$2.45. Besides that, you were the only one that liked my old yahoo avatar. Lol
