Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited has issued a statement clarifying that information mentioned in the recent reports circulating on the Internet about Melco's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Lawrence Ho, is “entirely fictional" and "untrue”.
In a statement distributed to the media, Melco urges the public to “remain vigilant and not to trust unverified information to avoid falling into fraudulent traps”.
The statement concludes by warning that “individuals who spread false information or engage in fraudulent activities, disregarding the truth, will face legal consequences”.
