“Reaches” $8.9b??? Let me rewrite that for you, Bubby.
Their backlog has been declining for multiple quarters now as they’ve been burning off backlog quicker than they’ve been adding to it. So “reaches” is not really the right term. “Declines to” would be more fitting and accurate..

Their new contracts were quite a bit less than the amount of backlog that they've been monetizing in a typical quarter. I would have expected a bigger decline in backlog than just the $100 million they reported.

@ rajiv; would appreciate if you would re-write your post above without the term "bubby". On this forum, we work to keep the discourse respectful.

Sure thing bud. I would also appreciate it if you would rewrite your post as well. Transocean didn't "reach" anything. Stop being a cheerleader and try posting factual information for a change.

Again, the moderators appreciate that you clarified the terminology "reaches" and helped readers to know that it was a reduction in the backlog, and not an increase as the term "reaches" might imply. What we don't appreciate is that you phrased your post in a derogatory fashion. Please keep it respectful if you would like to continue contributing to this forum.
