BW Energy in mid-2023 acquired operatorship of Golfinho from Brazilian oil giant Petrobras and later purchased the Cidade de Vitoria floating production, storage and offloading vessel that was already on stream at the field from Italy’s Saipem. The company intends now to revitalise operations at the mature field by drilling four wells in Golfinho, according to permitting documents submitted to Brazilian federal environmental regulator Ibama and obtained by Upstream.
