Congrats to Chet Nairene, a longstanding member of the Cyberspace Sands forum. News has just arrived that Nairene's second book was published just this past week:

In Chet Nairene's first novel, PACIFIC DASH (From Asia Vagabond to Casino King), we followed the adventures of young Dashiell Bonaventure as he worked in an illegal floating casino off the Straits of Malacca and then went on to make a kabillion dollars inventing the casino junket business in 1990s Macau . . .
This second book is the story of Lew Clarke, a tech business rock star in New York City, who gets hooked up with an odd little export company from somewhere beyond the Golden Triangle. When Lew's customers in America begin experiencing horrible accidents, internet rumors place blame on Lew's imported products. He is forced to journey to the strange little hermit Kingdom of Amazia to track down his supplier and unravel the mess. But once there, he finds all his modern Western knowledge and skills useless. He is able to navigate this quirky little world only via help from charming new friends like Mr. Frog, Wongrat and Uncle Inpanh . . . and, while lost up in rural Biti, becomes infatuated with the seriously beautiful Miss Nong. But once Lew stumbles across the horrible secret besetting Amazia, his mission becomes far more than just saving his company and himself.
