As much as any company, NOV will need to prove itself at the bottom line in order to advance sufficiently. It's stock price is still at value levels even though NOV's book-to-bill is increasingly healthy-positive. I think that's because investors with an eye on green energy transition are focused on the fact that NOV makes equipment for what many see as a dying industry. Their error, is that peak oil is still 7 to 10 years away and consumption will decline only slowly beyond that. The world will still be consuming at least 93 to 95 million barrels per day by 2035, IMHO.
