Occasionally, somebody will attempt to register and then never receive the authorization email that allows them to complete the process.
When that authorization email disappears, there are several possible causes. The easiest to remedy is when the email gets caught in your spam filter. If you know how to look for it in your spam filter and "free" it, that would solve the problem.
You can pre-authorize (white-list) the sender to keep the email from getting caught in your spam filter. The sender is noreply@proboards.com.
If it's not in your spam filter, but it never arrives, then there's just something out there that intercepts certain emails between ProBoards and your in-box, and there's nothing anyone here can do about it. In that case, you'll have to re-register using an email on a different system. Try yahoo or gmail; those will work fine. Most "disposable" email sites should also work OK (your account will not stop working if your email addy becomes invalid, but of course we'd prefer you do maintain a valid email address so we can contact you directly if it becomes necessary for some reason.)
If you find you do have to re-register with a new user ID and email address, please PM a staff member after you get settled into an account that works, and we'll delete the old (non-authorized) account. You can then set your display name to be anything you want, even if different from the ID you use to log in with.
