Oil Junior holding lease contracts over about 8 million square acres in Namibia and Botswana. They have some pretty big names in Oil/geology on their payroll

There's been a lot of hype with ReconAfrica. I was surprised to see CNN doing a piece on it, since CNN is basically an arm of the DNC, which hates oil. Sure enough, the article was about global warming, and only about Recon in a demonizing fashion. Apart from CNN, while it's consensus that the basin holds real promise, it's yet to be proven and Recon is a cash-burning speculation, from what I've seen with admittedly sparse research. The company could strike it big, but with substantial risk that finds could be non-commercial, or political risk, including how to transport any oil through tribal lands and environmental lawsuits, some that are already gathering steam. I'm passing on this, but I respect the allure of it. I prefer better visibility of a given company's avenue to success than this one offers.

Absolutely understand. Its an all or nothing play in a country that has never shipped a barrel of hydrocarbons. The preliminary data is promising, as is the all star cast on payroll. Some of the majors are exploring offshore Namibia too, and the Karoo area in the Southeast into South Africa is gassy. I think they're onto gas and oil, and hopeful they can JV themselves out of any ESG complications.
