I got out of LVS a couple of years ago ( was in since 2009) and pretty much the whole market. Been sitting on cash waiting for a good buying opp. Got back in Monday with F, BAC, LSPD.to and JPM. The market being its irrational self seems to me has presented a good buying opp. Spok, Blitz, Nasa. and the other longtime people here what is your opinion? The travel sector, oil, banks, hell everything but bio tech has been thrown under the bus. You guys and I have been through all the weekly BS out of Macau for 10+ years now so we are used to a little (LOL) misinformation. Ideas?

Don’t buy until Q1 numbers come out!!! This has while to go yet. Summer is the only cure ... Macau just got new cases. Avoid big Macau dependent casino 🎰 stocks until China starts issuing visas to Macau again...

If I remember correctly these crashes end in one huge down day, bigger then any down day then we had this last month.
Heard on TV the avg. crash in the Dow was 30%, were there.
Another CNBC contributor said 40%.
mba... is there actually going to be any Q1 numbers! LOL

Thank God there is Singapore.
Dont spend $10 Billion for a Japanese Licensee, there will be no happy ending. Prices drop for another 15 days, SA should acquire a competitor instead for cheaper amount of monies. With higher returns rates at very low interest rates, and no partners.

You guys and I have been through all the weekly BS out of Macau for 10+ years now so we are used to a little (LOL) misinformation. Ideas? Okay most of those picks are ehhhh decent but LSPD is killing it. I did not buy on their IPO, just because it was an IPO and had to kick myself in the ass for not as it went to the high 40's. I have used their POS in all my stores for the last three years. I have used NCR, Bindo, Square and Quick Books an average of 18 months each. I have stressed and crashed each one numerous times. Their tech guys suck and I always wound up giving up and moving on for one issue or another. LS is by far the best in that group for product support and customer service. The MINOR issues I've had were 90% user error and resolved in hours instead of days or never like NCR Silver. I sat out and waited for a good entry, hoping for mid 20's then this came around. Averaged down to the teens on last Monday when I did a Sheldon on it and backed up the truck. Did not catch the knife but got a great buy to average down. They are rolling out their merchant processing now in the states and their loyalty program. It will be nice to have everything on one platform. They have also been buying a few companies and expanding their base into other countries. Pretty much debt free, money in the bank and growing. Do your DD but it is worth a look.

I have nibbled on some stocks. I'm very hesitant to buy anything in big quantities until we begin to get hit with the Q1 numbers. I think we're in bear market rallies until those numbers come out.
My nibbles are RIG, NOV, OXLC, BX, CVM, and IRDM.
I missed BA by one day. It popped around 20% and kept popping at double digits several days in a row. When it did that after each time I just thought, "wow" that was a big pop, I'll try to get some tomorrow.
Same with WYNN and LVS. I especially think WYNN is vulnerable. They are hugely dependent on Macau VIP and Boston is not doing well anyway.
Market timing is so much more luck over logic. I guess that's why as Spok points out, there are no successful market timers long term.

Blitz Like I stated I have used their product ( 3 years) and a few of their competitors. NO comparison for a multi location business. All the others had major issues with the ability to do multi store transfers AND keep accurate track of adjusted (+or-) inventory. They made purchasing a nightmare. Now the vertical integration of a loyalty program and merchant processing while buying up other competitors Right now I have to use three different programs to do what LS will do by itself soon. I see this a better long term stock than LVS was back in 2009. Maybe not quite as profitable as LVS was for someone who bought in the single digits but a hell of a lot less risky. I also have my eye on the Oil guys and added SNV to my banking stocks on Monday. Guess I am just getting old and less risk tolerant than 10 years ago. In the gaming sector look at RRR and AGS. For now I am staying out as the shutdown here in VEGAS IS A FREAKING JOKE. The general population thinks they are on vacation. The parks were full this weekend most golf courses were packed. As the cases rise and they will with the testing I am afraid the Gov will extend the shutdown which will hammer the gaming sector again. In my opinion.

@omninn2 ... I live in Miami Beach and the shutdowns and lockdowns have gotten progressively more strick day by day. We've gone from a sudden closure of all restaurants, then bars, then the beaches, then the parks, then hotels, then condo swimming pool chairs were removed, then condo pools closed, then pool decks closed, now we're going to only residents can come in and out.
It will happen in Vegas too as more cases pop up and I think this virus is going to roll right across the USA via in major population centers...
