Gents,
Just a quick question. Does anyone know of OTHER forums which capture the thinking of savvy investors for LVS peer companies?
As good as this board is, it can't be the only one, you'd think. Right? Not looking for tips on websites but for actual investor forums . . .
Anybody?

Yahoo was good at one time, but there were some nut jobs on it when I used it years ago, I haven't gone on it in years.
They kicked me off and deleted all my postings.

Thanks, Taxx. I had a similar experience as you with Yahoo message boards. Way too Wild West. Any knucklehead with a keyboard can try to move a stock, haha.
It seems rather clear that something unique and valuable is going on here at The Cyberspace Sands. Was just thinking, what if there was another such site somewhere, focussed on maybe WYNN or MLCO or Sports Betting etc., but we didn't know about it. Would be great to add that knowledge to our thinking . . .

I don't mean this how it sounds, but if this group would take off the training wheels and venture outside of the gaming business, there's gold to be mined!! Some smart people in this community but how f'ing long can you guys discuss the bridge, Japan, Trade, GGR, being .02 either side of earnings expectations, and remodeling some properties while the stock in question underperforms almost every other asset class as the Indices hit record levels!!?? Jeeesh!!!! The gaming sector/opportunity is "so 2009". Money has moved on. The gaming business is pretty simple. Visit it when there's a crisis, folks count it out, and you can buy them at deeply discounted prices....other than that....it is NOT a growth business!! Going forward, there are SOOOO many opportunities in AI, 5G, Sports Betting, Biotech, and the crop of new businesses about to be born.......I'd just love to see this group unchained!! I miss the interaction, but it's like we're on different planets! I'd love to harvest the best of the bunch and get on a forum where making money was the focus!! Anybody else interested?

FF,
We've got a lot of really brilliant people here who know a lot about investing in the gaming business. There is actually an investment advantage to folks who inhabit this forum.
Now, as to other investment areas, farther afield, how to find other forums of brainy people with different areas of expertise? Rather than rely upon gaming investors moving out of their comfort zones, perhaps.
That is what motivated my original question.

LPL I think you guys make assumptions that most the investors here all have more expertise in gaming. Or that we are moving out of comfort zones when discussing other investments. I can name a bunch of other industries I know far better than gaming, I just migrated here because: 1. I had some large gaming positions and value other opinions... I like to learn 2. Yahoo was one of the few other opportunities and sucks The way I see it, a person only as so much time to follow message boards or form investment clubs. Would I really spend time on 3 other boards? No. Between work, CFP studies and market research, I don't have time to spare. I've worked in both telecom and medicine. I have an educational background in medicine and finance. For me, I wouldn't join a 5G/Medical stock board because I either have a solid understanding of those markets, or I know enough friends/contacts who can fill in knowledge gaps. I also have energy contacts. i don't have gaming connections. Over the years, a lot of what I learned came from this board, and from listening to conference calls from Lawrence, Wynn and adelson. That's why I'm here and prioritize this board. If I were to ever sell off gaming positions, I doubt I'd even be here. There probably are other boards out there that will provide what you guys are looking for.
